The Kerr County Sheriff's Office Patrol Division provides 24 hour service by covering some 1100 square miles.

Kerr County has within it the cities of Kerrville, the county seat, and Ingram, along with the towns of Center Point, Camp Verde, Hunt, And Mt. Home.

In 2008 the Patrol Division acquired three 2008 Police Package Chevy Tahoe's. In 2008 Kerr County Sheriff's Department Patrol Division went to a new look with a new style of decal.

In 2010 the Patrol Division acquired seventeen 2010 Police Package Tahoe's. Putting the Patrol Division in these units.

In 2001, the county has gone further by upgrading the radio system for the department at a cost of about One Million. This system will give officers a 98% coverage with car radios and 95% with hand held radios within the county.

It is no secret that law enforcement is constantly upgrading equipment to stay up with growth and technology.

With the help of Kerr County Commissioners' Court and the generosity of the tax payers of Kerr County, the Kerr County Sheriff's Office Patrol Division and the entire Sheriff's Office is moving into the 21st century.
